Hi all,

I was editing some templates and everything worked fine until i noticed that when a customer is not logged into the site they cannot see the bottom.tpl. When logged it it looks perfectly fine. Which template would it be that calls the botto.tpl when a customer is not logged in?

I would think it is the very same templates that call for it when somone is both logged in or not.

Do you remember what you were doing when this first happened?

I was editing head.tpl and home.tpl i restored head.tpl but it didnt fix the problem, i havnt tried home.tpl to be restored yet trying that now

I just dont remember noticing it dissapear till the next day i looked at the site.

It is possible that while editing this file, you accidentally removed a portion of the call tag that requires the bottom.tpl

Home has a line of code that calls for this and if a small portion of it is missing, then it simply will not be placed into the full page as it renders and may or may not cause an error

Have a look for this in your skin1/customer/home.tpl

The line that says include file=rectangle_bottom.tpl

this is what i have at the bottom of the source

its fine when logged in, just dosnt work when logged out

And have checked your rectangle_bottom.tpl, to make sure it includes
the bottom.tpl just in case.

Yes it does contain bottom.tpl
I restored the home.tpl and i could see the bottom.tpl when not logged into the site. So i must be missing something in there.
i have { include file="rectangle_bottom.tpl" } at the bottom of the home.tpl and i dont understand why i cant see it when not logged in, but when logged in as a customer i can see it.
Is there something in the home.tpl that checks weather or not the person is logged in or not?
i have version 4.0 gold

Hi Lyle, a couple things. Please put your exact version number in your signature (edit profile). By exact, I mean 4.0.x, as each version has subtle differences. Also, if you could post a url of your site, maybe we can see what the issue is.
