Default Xcart 5 Orders CSV import file name issue

Hi all,

I have place an order in xcart 5 store and then I am able to export orders as csv format, you can see it in this URL: http://awesomescreenshot.com/02d59bsa12

Now I have export xcart 4 orders and placed it to xcart 5 "orders-2015-09-21.csv" file. Then I renamed orders-2015-09-21.csv to orders.csv and was trying to import from xcart 5 admin > Catalog > Import section and showing this error:

CSV file has a wrong filename format. Possible file names are: attributes.csv, categories.csv, products.csv, customers.csv, product-attributes.csv, reviews.csv

Can someone please tell me what could be the file name for import orders. Thanks in advance.

regards,
JP

Hi Jp

This is not file name issue. it's a file format issue. So please open your CSV file and check all the attribute name or compare with X-cart5 CSV file. may be some attribute are mismatch into your CSV file.

Thanks for quick response.

In this URL(http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/Migration+from+X-Cart+4+to+X-Cart+5) they said "You may also want to migrate users or/and orders."

Misleading information. This has been discussed here multiple times, if you search the forum you will find it. One of the threads - https://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=72402

You can use Cart2Cart service to migrate orders but there is no orders import in XC.

Hi.
Migration is not the same thing as simple import/export, it is a way more complex procedure that involves data transfer directly between databases.
XC has never had an ability to import orders.

Hi barfav,

If I try to import the same file which exported from xcart 5 itself, it is still giving same message. It is not the mismatch of attributes.

I am still not sure Cart2Cart service migrate orders from xcart 4 to xcart 5, I will contact Cart2Cart service. If anyone has already done using Cart2Cart service, please confirm. Thanks

JP
