Shipping Handling

How would I add on shipping handing? Basically the overhead over and above the postage.

Have you had any luck with this? I'm also looking for a way to add a handling fee to the entire order, separate from shipping/tax/products.

Add shipping markup, set as flat amount for order subtotal 0 to 99999 - this will add to shipping cost

At this point, shipping markups are not supported in X-Cart 5. It's planned though.

I had the feeling this is the case.
Then why my 5.1.3 copy when going to shipping rates says "add shipping markup"?

It basically means that in order to create a shipping rate, you need to choose from available markup types. Did it confuse you?

Yes it did hence my answer to the original question here.
Shipping rate and shipping markup are 2 completely different terms and they mean 2 completely different charges. Not interchangeable.
If XC5 does not have shipping markup feature this language should not show at all there.

Why does the UPS module not have this feature? I needed this to go live with my store. I mean I can do a % markup in the currency converter of the UPS module setup but I only wanted it for a few UPS shipping speeds and they weren't going to be the same percent.

Please add this ASAP

Hi!

Shipping markups on real-time shipping rates is on our TODO list, but I cannot say this is the highest priority right now.

I am planning to add an article about customizing shipping system in X-Cart 5 in about a month. After it is done, you will be able to apply this little change yourself.
