The reason I ask is that we currently use a custom made one I wrote myself, which rewrites the results in PHP (which isn't a very smart method). I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone: new filter for the new X-Cart which is better (AJAX) and faster (speed improvement).

Thanks again!

Several categories with 100 products should work fast at an average dedicated server. And it would be even faster if you upgrade to the latest version.

Thank you very much for the reply! We'll start working on a dev version with the new version and the Refine Filter module!

Hi guys,

Is there any chance a demo is available for a development store?

I just want to make sure it functions as expected before purchasing.

Thanks

The module, just like any other software product of ours, is covered by 30-day moneyback policy. Refer to http://www.x-cart.com/moneyback_policy.html for more info.

Hi folks,

I'm glad to announce the last long-awaited feature - ability to re-order attributes of a filter. To do that the store admin need to click special icon located in "Max Attr." column next to each filter with more than one attribute. Use your mouse drag-n-drop attributes in the popup window.

The latest module packages have been uploaded to FileArea.

Hi,

Is this on the radar at all? For SEO purposes, my client chose to keep sold-out product pages alive in xcart, but we don't want them to show up in the Refine Filters interface. (Planning to use this on the homepage, and we don't want to highlight unavailable products there.)

An "only show In Stock items by default" checkbox in the admin site would be ideal.

thanks!

We do not plan to add such an ability to the add-on. However, you may always adjust your very copy of the module to behave like you wish. If you need help with that feel free contact our sales. It's not going to cost much I believe.

I would like to install this feature but we have 4.4.1 PRO. Upgrading to 4.6 takes probably a bit more time as we have some mods running.

Anyone using this within 4.4.1? Is it a big customization to make before we can use those filters?

I am afraid a quite complex modification is required to make Refine Filters working with X-Cart v4.4.1. The difficulty is the DB structure difference between v4.4.1 and v4.4.2. That's why the earliest X-Cart version supporting Refine Filters is v4.4.2.

Nevertheless, i recommend you to contact our sales to have this job evaluated. You may also request an estimation to upgrade your store to the latest version. Many things were added/improved over the last couple of years (including speed and security) so you will benefit from using the newest version greatly even if the upgrade costs more than adaptation of RefineFilters to your version.
