then get the feed manager from firetank - comes with latest products as standard and you can mod/hack/ask them to mod it so you can output pretty much whatever you want.

Question Re: RSS feeds

I have to say this is pretty spiffy. I am having three small issues though that I have to ask for help with.

#1: http://madhatterrgames.com/rss.php I can't seem to figure out why the [...] isn't linking back to my blog entry (which is located at: http://www.madhatterrgames.com/news/)

#2: I can't figure out why the image that I have at the start of my entry (a product) isn't in the RSS despite the fact that it is only 100x100px

#3: Is there any way to make this rss appear up next to my company logo in the large white space there at the top of my store front? You know, just below the home shopping cart and contact us links but just above the blue block for signing in? If so, how would I do that?

Thanks for all your help in advance!

Unhappy Re: RSS feeds

I'm sorry to post again (I know it can be seen as being naggy or impolite) but this information would be very helpful to me. Am I asking in the wrong place perhaps?

Hope to hear from someone (anyone) soon.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if this works with xcart v. 4.1.x? Is there complete code anywhere, or a newer mod that i can use?

For us it works in the latetst, 4.1.11 with no problems.
Just make sure u use the right editor to copy and paste. I used first total commander internal editor, didnt work, then i used Ultraedit and worked fine.

regards.

Hi all,

This thread appears to be about adding RSS feeds from other sources to your own X-Cart site. I wonder if there is a mod that would allow me to publish an RSS feed that others can put on their sites which would hopefully generate traffic to my site.

Thanks!

Dale

p.s. using a pretty stock 4.2 install - just modified the look.

Hi,
Yes, there is actually, more than one. Check out the one from Firetank. Pretty good.
