Default How to migrate for client that might want to stay with x-cart

My client has 4.4.5, and they are looking to get a new shopcart.

I want them to stay with us, so I'm installing a 30 day trial shop.

For the cart 4 to cart 5 migration, it says i need to meet the following requirements
nginx configuration:
In the nginx config, the fastcgi_read_timeout value must be set to 600 or higher; for example:

fastcgi_read_timeout 800 ;

In the php-fpm config, the request_terminate_timeout value must be set to 600 or higher; for example:

request_terminate_timeout = 800
DO I EVEN NEED TO INSTALL NGINX?
is nginx even installed on whm cpanel automatically? I see there is a way to install it, but I wouldn't know how. Also... if it isn't installed maybe I don't even need to install it? Maybe it only needs that setting if it's already installed?

WHERE DO I CONFIGURE PHP-FPM?
How do I configure the request_terminate_timeout setting?

THANKS!!!

Hi @moonslice,

Recommended settings for PHP-FPM and nginx are provided in case you use either PHP-FPM or nginx. If you do not use them, just disregard those pieces.
Essentially, you need to set up request timeout as 600+ seconds on your server and examples below just illustrate how to set it up for different server configs.

I assume you use PHP on Apache, so the following piece of advice should work for you:
Quote:
Apache configuration:

In the Apache config file, the TimeOut value must be set to 600 or higher; for example:

TimeOut 600

In php.ini, if safe_mode = off, no additional settings need to be adjusted. If php.ini safe_mode = on, ensure that the max_execution_time setting is adjusted to 600 or higher; for example:

max_execution_time = 600

If I can help you with anything else, just let me know.

Best,

Tony
