Default Doesn't look like my conditional style sheets are being read

I'm trying to fix some problems with IE 6 and it doesn't even seem like that style sheet is being read. I'll use something simple like
Code:
h1 { color: red; } * { border: 1px solid red; }

and it won't show up. Is this a known bug or am I breaking something. I haven't touched the conditional statements, or anything other than the style sheets.

I'm having the same problem. I wish I could help; better yet I wish someone would post an answer and help us both. For the first time ever, I am at a LOSS with modifying x-cart. The small amount of help currently here for pro v 4.3.x. is unbelievable. There isn't any, hardly! It sucks. I've spent 2 days now on the CSS file and had to START OVER TODAY because it seemed it kept calling from a different css file; and there's only 10+ in this version of x-cart. I've lost almost all my hair today, I swear.

Good luck to you on your journey.

Many are willing to help, myself included.
Instead of thinking you'll be contacted randomly asking if you need help you should instead post a thread asking for what you need help with and a fairly good description of the problem and what it needs to be fixed/changed.

Saying conditional stylesheets are broken doesn't help when the conditional statement isn't posted.

I appreciate what you're saying, I do. I've worked extensively in x-cart pro 4.1.9 and didn't have a single problem figuring things out. I've got a fresh install of Pro 4.3.x on my server now and am having a heck of a time getting things to change/update. It seems so much harder than 4.1.9.

I am plugging through it though, and will post questions/problems as they arise (my brain is fried for today), and I do sincerely appreciate all help that's given here by you and others. (:

Well, for me, it is the stock conditional statement, I haven't changed anything. I was just wondering if this was a bug.

Have you looked at the additional css files that were added for each of the different browsers? Check the customer/service_css.tpl file to see.

You're probably looking for main.IE6.css to modify the style for IE6.

Thank you,

And don't forget to remove the alt stylesheets, all they do is confuse matters.

Which alt stylesheets are you talking about balinor? The altskin.css, or one of the many IE style sheets? Or all of them?

Thx for the help. (:
