The new updates look great, I'm especially interested in this toolkit and the custom skin module. Anything that can assist our engineering team in building our site is great.

Is there an available roadmap we can view with ideas or plans for future enhancements to 5.1?

Lastly, how does 5.1 compared to 5.0.X in terms of speed and performance? Is there any noticeable changes.. Ex: The speed boost example provided in 4.6 compared to 4.5.5

Example:

May 2014 - 5.1 Release
June 2014 - 5.1.1 Release
etc

Would help us plan future upgrades.

In 5.1.0, iPad screen view, the products column goes from 3 per row to 1. Surely 1 should just be for mobile size? iPad is not that small, and it leaves so much space either side of the products. there is no sidebar and just one thumbnail on each row.

Also, if you are adjusting the size to a larger screen, why keep 3 products per column method? It is not serving any other purpose other than stretching the website width? A suggestion would be to increase the products in columns to perhaps 4 or 5 when you are at 1180px width.

Hi Mike, here is the solution from X-Cart CTO:

You need to create two classes, both decorate \XLite\View\Menu\Customer\Top. But the first depends on CDev\SimpleCMS, has "@LC_Dependencies ("CDev\SimpleCMS")" annotation and special code for active SimpleCMS. The second is independent and add the items to the menu in any cases, just make the simple checking for repeat-adding (do not add the item, which is already added by the first class).

As a result your module will work the same with enabled and disabled SimpleCMS.

PS. By the way, I see the video with DropDown meny for XC5. It's awesome!

We are planning to make official release of 5.1 version in May.

I like the new beta.

Referring to WebmasterKit I would like to propose if you agree an easy way to activate it without logging into administration area, no IP's. Just adding to any URL a combination of strings like this one "?wk=1&p=any_string_you_want". If this feature (module) is enable in admin area you should also have an input box for inserting the protected string "string_you_want". If there is no string set up, only using ?wk=1 will activate the Debug Window, and all that stuff.
