Nikita,

Would you believe that disabling the CloudSearch include for jquery broke the "ask a question about this product" popup?

I restored the call to jquery-1.7.2.min.js and I'm gonna just accept that 95k hit
For now.

Thanks for the thorough explanation.
Much appreciated.

J

Hi All,

Just a quick question on cloud search, has anyone else noticed that if if you a common search term which brings up a lot of results, by navigating down to the bottom of the suggested results, and then back up causes the screen to 'kick' as a scroll bar is introduced / removed?

Thanks in advance

Edit: also is there a way to have the search results replicate on the store if a user presses enter (or clicks on "see more results") or should I go down the option of the altered cart module as per carpeperdiem suggestion?

Hi,

Not sure what you mean, a screenshot or a video would be helpful

The aim of CloudSearch is to provide instant and helpful search results that will drive customer directly to product pages. Thus full-fledged search results pages are not supported at the moment. It's on the plan, but has a low priority. However custom development can be an option in some particular case.

Just installing Cloudsearch and it seems to be taking a long time on the system finger print. The cursor has stopped spinning too

Any suggestion?

Hi Phil,

Just wait a while as I have noticed on a few stores I have installed it on it does take a while - I installed a copy yesterday that took close to 7 mins to generate the fingerprint.

Also you can check your logs to see if it has been completed (just in case the screen did not refresh)

Hi Nikita, I'll get one to you shortly.

What it appears to be is that the site I am using it on has no scroll bar on the side of the screen, yet navigating down the list causes it to flick on and off (only on one or two results) as the windows applies the scroll bar, and then removes it.

Shall I upload it via help desk?

Its been running ten minutes. The worrying part is that the browser loading spinning icon has stopped like the page is complete. Just going to check the logs.

Have a check and maybe it just failed to refresh the page? Although it takes a while I've noticed the customers side of the store is not affected during this time.

Cant see anything about it in the logs. What log should I be seeing it in?

Refreshed the page. Ran for 5 mins and then page finished loading again. Looks like system fingerprint is taking way too long or not running.
