Hi Everyone,

I'm a total newbie, so please bear with me.

I'm migrating our sites from our existing ecommerce to X-Cart. My main concern is to make sure I replicate my existing sites for SEO purposes. I started with 4.1.11 and HTML catalog, but I didn't like how the page names change back to php?.... when a user adds a product to the cart. I found the addon CDSEO to create search engine friendly page names and was planning on installing this addon.

My host suggested, however, that I just use 4.2 with the clean url feature, but I've heard mixed reviews regarding 4.2.

My designs are all table based and I understand 4.2 is different in that it uses only div and css.

Can anyone suggest the best version of X-Car for me so I can create an identical match of our existing sites, including existing page names so my search engines rankings are not affected?

DO NOT use 4.2 - it is not ready for a live site yet. 4.1.11 and CDSEO are the best choice in this case. There are CSS skins available for 4.1.11 if you want to go that route.
