Java/flyout menus
I've read a lot of posts on this subject, but have seen that most of the integrated solutions deal with categories, but don't really address the static pages.
Has someone worked out a javascript solution to flyout menus that integrates and updates automatically, but doesn't eat your server like Fancy Categories, that also addresses the static pages areas? My site http://www.redstonemeadery.com/xcart/ only has one level of sub-category, but the static pages will also be getting divided into categories and sub categories (i.e. Redstone Info - About Redstone, Staff, Visit Redstone, etc.). Look at the main index page at http://www.redstonemeadery.com/xcart/ to see what I mean about the breakdowns. The client is feels that listing all their pages is 'messy'. I'm currently advising them to consider a longer menu (less cool, but more searchable) vs. javascript fly-out menus (cooler, but less search engine friendly and code heavy). Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Vicky Rowe

Hey Vicky, nice alternative to Fancy Cats just came out recently. Doesn't address static pages yet, but you could easily hard-code that to the end of the menu:
