OK, let me rephrase...

You can't expect a company to just drop everything, including their existing customers and work load, to integrate your 3rd party code for free.

However, I'm happy you found a company that did...

that's just too bad, x-cart kicks ass and everyone here knows it, i've tried them all and i seriously doubt you could find an easier more integrated cart, the worst i've seen was oscommerce with miva right behind, absolutely pitiful carts, i have all kinds of crazy shit integrated into x-cart for my client, a multi-million dollar company. I think x-cart is trustworthy enough for your little shop, it sounds like you just need to find out what hell your not doing right.
