Default Template Not Accepting Changes

Hello Group

I am trying to modify a tpl file:
File: /mail/html/order_notification_admin.tpl

I make the changes and try and save it. the problem is that the changes I make are not saved after the change.

Could somone be so kind and tell me what I have wrong? I am using Unix but I do not know why I cannot change a template .tpl file

Sounds like you don't have writable permissions on the template file in question. Change it to 755 and see if that solves the problem.

Hello Group

I thank you very much

755 did not work

666 did work great.

After I modify the file what should I chmod it back to?

Should I have the tpl file folder set to 666?

Would it hurt anything if I chmod the folder skin1 to 666?
