Default Best way to REMOVE a 3rd party module?

If I need to remove a 3rd party module in its entirety from X-Cart, besides:

1. remove all template and php file edits
2. remove /skin/common_files/modules/module_name
3. remove /skin/your-skin/modules/module_name
4. remove /modules/module_name

WHAT ABOUT the database?
Can I run this sql:

PHP Code:
DELETE FROM xcart_modules WHERE module_name='module_name'

Is that it?
Anything else to be aware of?

Any given third party mod can add tables to the database and/or also add columns to existing x-cart tables. So it seems the only way to completely remove it from the database would be to look at any sql files provided with the initial install, and reverse-engineer them.

Depending on the module, it is a judgement call if it is worth the effort to update the db. Extra tables and columns might not be hurting anything?

I am also looking for this. I am planning to start another store which is copy of current store but do not want few modules which are installed current store. I can see only few third party modules sellers has provided uninstall patch & readme file.

I agree that you really just need to look at the SQL patch to see how to uninstall. Most of ours we strive not to modify or add columns to core tables but sometimes it makes sense to as it could potentially slow down a site if you created yet another linking table.

You could probably contact the vendor too if you ran into issues.
