I'm getting the same error. I figured by registering I was reserving a slot.

Well it ended. Alex will post a link to the recording. One thing is clear to me after this - merchants have no rights and no matter what are responsible and have to pay the consequences

Listening to all this it does sound to me that we as merchants have no rights whatsoever. CC companies and banks will always, no matter what, side with the customer. Banks cannot get any money out of any customer but they can get the money out of the business no matter if it's our fault or not.

Nowdays is just impossible not to accept CC especially when everything is online. And actually in my believe people using their cell phones to make purchases and entering CC info right there while they have wifi on, bluetooth on, etc. and everyone around can intercept this transaction cannot blame the merchant for their stolen CC info.

So why not just say - merchants have no rights. The only right we have is to pay

To add to this - in a brick and mortal store customer using CC with chip on it for faster payment - something the banks implemented - can get their CC data stolen very easily. These same banks will then blame the merchant and make them pay for something the banks implemented as easy to use but allows for easy way to steal CC info... go figure...

Can we kill the banks?
