Default Adding Attributes

Good afternoon,

I am trying to setup our store in the trial version of X-cart so we can determine if we want to make the switch from our current freeware store.

I have been trying to add color options to no avail. I read up on the knowledge base on adding attributes and variants, but I run into a snag adding attributes. When I use the little drop down to select plainfield, textarea or yes/no nothing ever happens where it currently says "no attributes assigned". As best I can tell, a couple of fields should show up there to populate attributes for the product, but on mine, nothing happens.

Is this feature disabled in the trial version or am I doing something wrong?

Default Question about setting Attributes

I've installed the trial version of X-cart to determine if it can accomplish everything we want it to do for our eCommerce site. I've added some products but I need to be able to add variants for colors.

I've read a few tutorials and the article found in the xcart knowledge base.. It appears that after I select the drop down to choose if I want a Plain Field, TextArea or Yes/No, that the window currently stating "No Attribues Assigned" should change to a couple of text fields for populating the attribute. However, whenever I use the drop down and make a selection nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong, or is the ability to use this feature disabled in the trial?
