boomer - I tried out the php script to batch the thumb path to the smaller image. It goes through the motions and updates all of the images in the db but in the db the thumb path and the image path are the same. Is it rewriting the full image or is it just writing the path to the full image in the thumb_path field??

Thanks!
Cameron

Default telafirma

Hi all

I just bought telafirma's image mod - and it's fantastic. The difference in quality of the thumbs is huge - and the way of handling popup enlargements, detailed images etc is excellent.

Telafirms installed it for me too, and was super-speedy.

nice work!

Had this done by TelaFirma as well. Priced right. Very professional. Very quick. Great mod. What more can you say? Worked with some other mod's as well like Jon's (WebsiteCM) ezUpsell.

steve

I have just purchased telafirma's Image Mod too.

I agree with all steveparks says about it above.

Fantastic modification and fantastic service.
A professional, extremely helpful man.

I don't understand why this mod isn't more widely acknowledged - telafirma certainly hides his light under a bushel

Just going back to the original post.

I have done this mod on three sites and thought it was working well. Infact what it has done is 'lock' mu xcarts into storing the images in the database with the associated loss of performance.

Even though this mod is creating and storing the images in the FS the cart is pulling them from or via the db.

One of my carts is now so slow even with less than 20 images that unless I can figure out how to get the cart to us the FS I may have to do a complete reinstallation.

Any ideas folks?

Allan
