Hi there,

QuickOrder works with any of these products - however, while in QuickOrder mode, none of the benefits (bundles, buy 1 get 1 free etc.) will be displayed until checkout.

QuickOrder uses its own image resizing and caching script (phpThumb) so won't interfere with Dynamic Image Preview and vice versa.

Right now, QO only displays the larger image when a thumbnail is clicked - adding descriptions, upselling etc. is something we're looking to include in a future update, but first we want to make sure that QO is still super-fast when elements like product descriptions are added to the mix.

Many thanks for the feedback. You're right, QuickOrder is designed for businesses that rely on multiple-item orders coming in (i.e. components, printer cartridges, computer parts, DIY, trade etc.) - the kind of store where customers buy over 10 products per order. We've found that the vast majority of storeowners who purchase QuickOrder come from these sectors.

Does anyone have this mod working with more then 25 categories and more then 64 manufacturers ?
Does anyone have this working with any other Ajax based Minicarts ?

John has been quick to update his mod, making it compatible with the Ajax minicart from Phil at xcartmods.co.uk
Also, we can now browse our endless category and manufacturer list

Is it possible to configure what specific products are displayed within quick order? I have a shop that sells beer brewing and winemaking equipment and supplies. I think this mod could be very useful as a sub-set of my store if it were possible to limit it only to the ingredients I sell. It would not be as useful if it were all cluttered up with equipment/bottles/gadgetry/etc.

Hello John,

I have just installed QuickOrder - great, really great mod ! - and I can see that it doesn't manage accentuated characters in the categories captions.


For instance:
"HelicoptХres RC" becomes "Hl0069coptr0065s RC"
"contrТleurs" becomes "contrl00650075rs"
etc...


Can you do something to fix it ? (I have emailed you on your support address).

Hi John,

Testing QuickOrder I found another glitch :

When using the search tool, I always get the following answer: "Sorry, we could not find that product. Please try again later", whichever of the two search modes I use (SKU / Product Code or Product Name).

As it is a very useful feature for a website selling parts to professionals (they generally know SKUs or products references) I'd love to see it working.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking into both of your problems now.

Dunpeal: at the moment, QuickOrder works on a per-category basis. You can 'switch' individual categories and manufacturers on and off from appearing within QuickOrder.
