Smile Just launched a new site for a client pls. check it out http://www.sanctusstones.com

Just launched a custom design x-cart website for motivational jewellery store.

This site was done in stages and lot of time was spent to make this site different from other x-cart sites

Look forward to your valuable feedback

Cheers
Ash

I had a long load time as well. Your client will loose business from potential customers that deem slow loading web sites as unprofessional.
One of the items in the men's collections has the dreaded red x box. Also the thumbnail images on some of the items are in the 50k range. This makes the products list pages load a little slow. If you can keep the image quality and lower the file size I would consider that to help load times. Another option is to reduce the number of products in the product list to nine from twelve. Another good reason to do this is no more white space in the left column at the fourth row of products.

You might want to take all of the comments you get from the folks on the forum and present it to your client. This would give them food for thought on possibly going VPS at the very least.

You really need to look at speeding up the website. There are also a few missing elements, as shown in Firebug. You need to reduce the number and size of the css and js files. Also, look at getting some form of CDN for the images and such.
