Is there a better installer for this module? It doesn't look all that safe to install, unless you're installing it on a fresh x-cart store.

Looking at the v4.7.3 version, there's no patch .diff files, therefore just uploading the contents will override any previous modifications that may have been made to the major files it replaces...

Has anyone tried it and got it working successfully?

For eg.

4. Point your browser at the location of your store with the addition of /install-chuck-norris.php to launch the Installation Wizard.
For example, if your domain name is www.example.com and your X-Cart-based
store is installed in the directory /xcart off your web root, you should enter
http://www.example.com/xcart/install-chuck-norris.php into your browser address line.

The eBay installer works with no issues for default software. You can find corresponding patches in the installation archive https://drive.google.com/a/x-cart.com/folderview?id=0B5HGLTCz_J7vfkFRUlkwaS1QNm45dGZzSHJ aajlUZmdGaE8wTVl...AxQnJZZkk#list
Using the patches, you can manually apply the necessary changes without using install_ebay.php.

If your X-Cart 4 has been modified and you feel like you need assistance, we can offer installation and configuration service which will ensure smooth module setup and won't cause any damages to your store. If you are interested in the service, please contact our support team in your Help Desk account.

If you want clients to use it, may I suggest you improve the installation of it.

There are no patches, hence my post.

Thank you! We've found the issue, the module developer will upload an improved installation archive next week.

We are sorry for the delay here. The module developer has re-worked and uploaded a new installation archive for X-Cart 4.7.3. You can find it here https://drive.google.com/a/x-cart.com/folderview?id=0B5HGLTCz_J7vfkFRUlkwaS1QNm45dGZzSHJ aajlUZmdGaE8wTVl...ive_web #list

Could you please submit a ticket in your Help Desk account and post access info to your store and log files? The error you're describing may be caused by various reasons, so our specialist need to investigate it to help you to resolve it.

I think I figured it out. I have the category set up for eBay.

I was selecting the eBay category in the product pages. I was getting a 500 error.

When I deselected the eBay categories on the individual products and exported, it worked.

I am happy because the Category setup works.

What are those 300 free requests? Data uploads or sales? Is it enough for one week of testing with a dozen of products?
