The search page list order should be the same as how you set the default display for categories listing, agreed or not?

It appears confusing and perhaps a bug there are 2 separate methods of display with one setting that affects the category display order and the search page listing.

It would make sense to make the search listing the same as how the default category view order is.

I'm not sure if I get what the problem is.

These pages require a different source code to retrieve matching products and they can't share the same function, but as far as I remember the pages look identically.

Please could you clarify this further?
