Question Re: Simple Custom Menu Revisited - Categorymenu

I need help also please!

Here is what I'm wanting to do:

1) Take a look at this website (it's not mine, but it's got part of what I want)
http://www.sunsetcrystals.com.au/home.php?shopkey=1234

Look at the left hand column. See at the bottom where the PayPal logo starts? I want to be able to add these kinds of images/links to my website.

HOW DO I DO THIS???

2) Take a look at this website (again, it's not mine but it's got part of what I want to do)
http://www.digitalscrapbookpages.com/digitals/

Look at the right hand column, down towards the bottom. See the "Languages" section? I want this on the right hand column on my website as well. I don't care if it has a menu heading of "Languages" or not. I just want to add the flags and links (with links that will work on my site of course) to the very end of my right hand column.

HOW DO I DO THIS???

THANK YOU!!!

Hiya Joli

Well i have to be honest, I am no web or html expert, and since I have had my store, I've just managed to get through things by readiing the forum here & searching the web. It takes me forever to do just one modification to my cart

So what i have done on the menu on that left hand side - is probably far from technically correct.

What I did was create a new .tpl file - I called mine links.tpl. I inserted the appropriate images into a static page and copied the html coding from the static page into that .tpl file. I have attached mine for you to give you an idea, as it includes the table.

I then inserted the file "links.tpl" into the customer/home.tpl just under where the help menu starts.

Now i know this is far from being technically correct - and I hope that one of the experts here, mayshow us the right way.

But I am just jotting my info down for you to help you get by for the moment.

Cheers

Worked PERFECTLY! Thank you, sweets!

I don't know if it's 'technically correct', but it WORKS! (Unlike some mods/hacks! LOL)

It means a lot that you shared your input! Have a VERY good week!

oooh brilliant Joli - i'm so happy to hear that. Its a real pleasure. I know what it's like when you just need some sort of help or guidance - and to waste so much time trying to find something that works.
You have a lovely weekend too!
