Hi,
Is it possible to create a manufacturer which will hidden.But linking all of the products with that manufacturer will visible when I enter into URL ie. Hidden but available for sale manufacturer.

Can anyone help me?

I currently have added a manufacturer and categories and not enabled them. And added product with the items disabled. I plan to go in and enable them for sale when everything is ready. Not sure if this is what you are asking. The manufacturer and category show on the back end but not on the front end.
Just what I have done.

No chrisdurnan actually I want to link one manufacturer and one category but these category will remain invisible from store front category panel when I click on the url http://www.yourstore.com/home.php?cat=5937, the product will show.

Actually I want these features.Hidden manufacturer or hidden category but available for sale.

You can make individual products "hidden but available for sale", and they will still be "hidden but available for sale" even if the category and/or the manufacturer are disabled, by simply linking to the product. I don't think you can "disable" a manufacturer and have it display anything however.

Thanks Jwait for your response.But when I link individual product(hidden but available for sale)without selecting any category and manufacturer, it creates individual link for individual product.

I want all of the products will remain hidden irrespective of category or manufacturer under one link, but available for sale.The linked category or manufacturer will remain hidden from store front.

Actually when I click on the url http://www.yourstore.com/home.php?cat=5937,all of the products will show,but linked category or manufacturer will remain hidden.

What you are asking is something that can't be done through any settings. I don't know if it can even be done with some custom coding, probably but I have no idea where you would begin.

You can make individual products "hidden but available for sale" but if the category is disabled there is no way to show other products in that category as it is disabled.

I don't understand why the "hidden" manufacturer part. You can choose "manufacturer not specified" and by doing so products listed under that "manufacturer" will not be able to be shown (as it isn't really a manufacturer).

It would help if I knew the reason for the "hidden" manufacturer and category. It doesn't make sense to me to have a product for sale and not let anyone know you have it for sale.

Jwait actually I have a health,beauty,wellness,fitness store.But I want to upload those products which are not related to that.So I want to hide those products for the people who will visit these site regularly.I want to upload those products,which will remain invisible but will visible from outside via link,online transactions will be also possible.

It is the purpose of hidden but available for sale.

You would probably be better off making a page (or pages) outside of x-cart and using the generate html links option. You can make these by clicking categories, then choose the category these products are in, then check the products you want included, and at the bottom of the page there is a button marked "Generate HTML Links". Clicking it will produce a page with the code necessary to add images, buttons etc. necessary for a customer to add the item to their cart.

Note that it will take the customer from the page they were on to the "cart" page in your x-cart site.

Try it with one product and see if that will work for you.
