I'm currently testing XCart 5.x on a shared host v/s a dummy copy of my real site.
I have www.mysite.com
and xcart is installed at www.mysite.com/xcart

I'm kind of worried because it's running a LOT slower than my current cart

This specific test was done on February 15 at 20:24:21 from New York City, New York, USA. The web page took 8.34 s to load, used 67 requests, and weighed in at 3.1 MB.

The Google Page Speed performance grade for this web page is 82/100

This specific test was done on February 15 at 20:26:13 from New York City, New York, USA. The web page took 1.08 s to load, used 51 requests, and weighed in at 1.1 MB.

The Google Page Speed performance grade for this web page is 92/100.

XCart seems to be 3x's as large as my current site (home page)and this is with just the demo store, added the default test products, and thats about it...

Is anyone else having slow load speeds? What have you done to correct this?
