Hello,

Looking to purchase X-Cart soon and was going to develop the website on a MAMP localhost, but didn't see any articles discussing how to then move it to a live website when it is completed.

If anyone has done this before and can let me know what hurdles I could run into or changes that need to be made for this to work could let me know that would be great.

No idea about x-cart 5. But I guess it should be same like x-cart 4.

create Mysql backup from phpmyadmin. Create database on server & upload your sql database file.

Just upload your entire store directory as it is in your public_html directory on server & change directory path & your licensed domain name & mysql database info in config.php
