Chatting to a friend he said one way to speed up x-cart was rewriting the all the calls to the database as it's not supposed to be very well written. The only problem I have no clue how to do that.

If I remove all my extra stuff for affiliate links, visual web optimiser and live chat I can get my score up to 97.

I had 4gb of ram which wasn't enough so up'd it to 16gb. I am also about to swicth to EWD's hosting with there amazing servers and 72gb of ram. The power...... lol

Do you have all your js and css calling from maxcdn?

Sure thing.

Code:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://cdn.domain.com/var/cache/1.8c565918844a09f6b2ca37ec47512627.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://cdn.domain.com/var/cache/1.465762e10b8740ff1f34f7ce6eaf618e.js"></script>

Many 3rd party mods do not play by the rules (load_defer, etc...) and I am still optimizing here and there...

I havent done that method for css and js. Will have to look through my code for what I did but mine is done automatically and picks up all css and js.

Ignoring actual figures for page speed it does seem to load the site more consistently and all in one go. Definitely worth some time spent tweaking settings to see if I can get it just right.

I just installed the pagespeed module. Did you managed to bring back the "add to cart" popup?

The "add to cart" missing popup seems to be inconsistent. Sometimes it show up sometimes it doesn't.
