Default Is X-Cart overkill for site that sells one product?

I have a company that sells one product. In the future, we might have four products. I want to simply show off the one product on the shopping cart home page and hit and order button which goes right to the name, address screen.

I don't want to show categories or a catalog. Is X-Cart right for me? Can I configure the X-Cart home page to show the one product and get rid of the navigation menus?

I have the evaluation and I'm playing with it but I thought I'd throw this question out there.

I guess it pretty much is down to what features you really need. Have you had a look at Ecwids by Qualiteam? May be a lot simpler solution for you but like I previously noted, it really depends on what functionality you require.

If you only need one product... then yes, X-cart is very likely overkill.
There are other "shopping carts" that are modular and can be inserted into existing websites, so if you already have that you could us that.

I believe paypal also has a shopping feature, but is only for the payment. The display of the product and such would be on your end.

Try Ecwid!

Ecwid is free and integrates into any existing web-site within a few minutes by cut'n'pasting integration code.
