Default Firetank's Froogle/Google Base Export Feed

I installed the Froogle & Google Base X-cart export Feed program from Firetank Software.

I uploaded the files, changed permissions, then enabled the module (this last step was missing from the instructions though).

When I am logged in as the admin and click the "Feed Manager" link, it takes me to the correct page, but the information on the page is completely different from the screenshots of the software.

The screenshot I uploaded, homepage, is what displays when I click "Feed Manager" when I click the only link available on that page, it takes me to screenshot2.

Any idea what's going on here?

Please delete the modules.dat file, it's included under the "If you are upgrading" part of the installation instructions.

Moving to 3rd Party Add-ons.

The instructions say "IF YOU ARE UPGRADING, DELETE THE modules.dat FILE!" and since I was not upgrading, I did not delete it.

It looks like you need to delete it when you first install it as well.

Everything seems to be working fine so far now, thanks for the tip!

I'll e-mail the developer and let him know the instructions were wrong.

Much appreciate the info

How the the file exist if you were not upgrading? Was this due to you installing over an installation or adding extra feeds?

Can someone tell me what would make the software quit working after an upgrade? I just upgraded from 4.1.6 to 4.1.12, and the firetank software will not work now. It is still showing up, but it does not save changes and will no longer run. I don't know if I messed up an .htaccess or something else. I double checked permissions, and my files are set correctly according to the instructions. I'm at a loss.

Thx.

Hi Richincome,

You'll need the latest install archive from the sounds of things, 4.1.9 included security changes to x-cart which feed manager was upgraded to take into account.

I'm assuming you're running on a version of feedmanager which was developed before 4.1.9 was available.

If your support is still active you can log into the firetanksoftware.com members area to download, if it's expired you can renew support directly via the upgrades area.

We upgraded from 4.1.6 to 4.1.12, so that would explain it.

Thank you!

Groovico,

Here is an update:

We paid for the upgrade today and received a download for FM2 (I hope that's correct).
I installed the ioncube folder and updated files, chmod, etc... However, when I try to run the software, this is the message:

Site error: the file /home/xxxxxx/public_html/admin/fts_fc_index.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.

I'm not sure how to fix it. The ioncube is installed in the main folder.

We are running under ewdhosting, and our version of xcart is 4.1.12.

My order id is #FTS255-6358 if you need that.

I did open a service ticket ([#AHW-534676])

Thank you!
Steph
