My products have the same product options. How to set only one set of product options and all products can use them?

At present, each product has its own product options even the options are the same. If we have a lot of products, the mysql database will be very big because of the duplicated product options.

This would require custom programming to create a separate table for the global options and then code to populate the table and code to read the options from the table for products.
