Spacing Problems
Hi, my client is looking for an extemely minimal cart and I have been trying to remove the location.tpl from all pages which i managed by commenting out the call to display it in the skin1/customer/home file. the problem is that this works fine apart from a small space on all the pages that causes the middle area to be out of alignment from the left column. this occurs on all pages (so far) apart from when viewing a detailed product page. here are some examples:
space shown see alignment of top area of dialog box compared to side area correct formatting: http://www.acousmatic.co.uk/store/product.php?productid=1&cat=1&page=1 any ideas how this can be remedied as im confused as to how this is not a problem on the main product page but is on the rest of the site. i will also be trying to remove the 'printable version' bar from all pages too. will there be any problems in trying this? thanks in advance. R

Re: Spacing Problems
soryy i dont understand what you mean. all im concerned about is the extra space that has been added above the dialog box that knock it out of alignment vertically compared to the side bar area. if you click on the digital downloads area you can see and then if you picl any of the final products it is aligned. whould i do some screengrabs for more clarification?
thanks

Re: Spacing Problems
Hi
Well you've updated the link in your post, so if I use that as an example, ie: http://www.acousmatic.co.uk/store/home.php?cat=1 When I go there, all I see is a page with a header (logo and search), Printable version, the left column, and a copyright message - there is no main content - no products listed or anything in that main area.

Re: Spacing Problems
That's in IE6 - works fine in Firefox it would seem.

Re: Spacing Problems
It's got to be!!! I've seen 1000's of x-cart shops in IE6 - they don't have the main content missing, that's for sure!! And 4.1.9 out of the box is fine too.

Re: Spacing Problems
It really shouldn't cause that much trouble what you are trying to do to be honest. Cross browser problems in x-cart are usually simple alignment problems - a bit like you are having - not whole bits missing!
You should be able to remove the breadcrumbs, location.tpl without causing such an issue. Try putting it back, or reverting to your backup to see what caused this problem in IE6.
