Qualiteam created a mod for us that does this and other advanced billing things, by creating a credit balance system within the provider interface and enabling the ability to specify a per item and % commission to be taken from the credit balance when products are sold. You might want to speak to them about it.

Just a thought, pixeldust, once you've had a project completed for you by Qualiteam, you own the code, so you could actually request patch files of all changes (if you don't have it already), and then sell it or give it away yourself.

At least, that's my understanding, might want to double-check with Qualiteam.

2. Provider will register as it is now. When confirmed provider is logged in, he will have "Your Balance" page.
On this page provider will see nis balance. When he registers, this amount will be 0.00 by default.
Provider will be able to pay for to increase his balance.

So provider will be able to increase his balance. If he pays with Paymate background gateway and transaction is successful, balance will be increased by defined by provider sum.

If provider pays with Bank deposit, then admin will have to approve it before balance will be increased by defined by provider sum. It is described below.
So provider will define the sum for to increase balance himself.

3. On the provider profile page for admin we will add "Balance" box. This box will look like this:

So admin can:
- see current balance of provider
- approve Bank deposit payments. By default admin approves sum defined by provider. But admin can change it.
- Bank deposit (need confirmation) contains the list of the sums which needs confirmation. Admin can delete Bank deposit line (which need confirmation).
- "Increase balance" offers to admin to increase balance of a provider manually.

4. If balance is 0.00 or less than 0.00 for a provider, provider won't be able to add new products (import too), but will be able to manage existing products.
Provider's products won't be shown in the customer area.
So as soon as balance is 0.00 or less than 0.00, products will be hidden in the customer area (if customer's cart ocntains provider's product, it will be deleted). Provider and admin will receive email notification about it.

5. If balance is more than 0.00, all current features will be available for provider.

6. When provider adds new product (manually or with products import), defined for this commissions amount will be deducted from the balance.

7. When customer purchases provider's product (when order is paid), defined commissions (% from the original product price) will be deducted from the balance.

8. We will add "Balance statistics" page in the admin area. On this page admin will search statistics by the following parameters:
8.1
- date period (date fields FROM - TO)
- provider (multiple selected box with providers list)
- type: added products and sold products radio buttons

Results will be shown in the following format:
provider_____commissions of selected type for selected period

8.2
- date period (date fields FROM - TO)
- product (multiple selected box with products list)

Results will be shown in the following format:
product_____commissions of product for selected period (for orders)

Note: Paymate gateway will be integrated in separate project.

That is very interesting if it is correct. I did find this in the custom development T&C:

3. Proprietary rights


3.1 License of Software. Upon payment in full of all amounts due to the Developer, the Developer shall grant to the Customer a perpetual, world-wide, nontransferable license for the Software Modifications. Such license shall be limited to the right to install the computer software portion of the Software Program containing the Software Modifications on computer systems owned, leased, or controlled by Customer, utilize the Software Programs containing the Software Modifications for its own internal purposes, and make sufficient copies of the Software Program containing the Software Modifications for backup purposes and as reasonably necessary to exercise the right to use the Software Programs as permitted hereunder. This Agreement shall not provide Customer with the right of ownership or title in and to the Software Programs containing the Software Modifications but rather, Customer's rights shall be limited to the scope of license provided herein. Customer shall not take any action or permit any occurrence that would create a lien or encumbrance on the Software Program containing the Software Modifications or the copyright thereto, or create any cloud on Developer's title thereto. Customer shall not use the Software Program containing the Software Modifications in such a manner that may infringe upon the rights of any other party.

But that seems to state the opposite to me. Might start a new thread.
