I have a store where I need to be able to delete approx 2500 products and their respective options and variants.

I understand once you delete the options the variants will disappear, but is there a quick way of a "bulk" delete of all product options?

I was hoping that in the product export csv there was a column titled Options that I could then just N to all, but not so lucky

Any suggestions?

If you need to delete these products then just delete them - this process deleted absolutely everything related to the products info - images, options, variants, detailed images, reviews, etc.

Sorry didn't explain myself properly, I need to keep the base product just delete all the options and variants. Customer wants to remove options etc and have all options showing to the customer in the product list. In other word he wants the customer to not have to go into each product to find out there are further options, wants to take a couple of steps out of the ordering process.
So I thought, lets delete all options etc, then once back at the base number, clone each product as many times as necessary and change necessary details where applicable to duplicate the old options and variants.

You can do products search, select all you want to modify, click on modify selected and go from there - the bulk modify may work for bulk delete although not sure.

Yeah thought of that, but it's a few pages of products to go through to do it that way provided it works. Thought there may have been a option with the product csv file being able to import it with no options etc, sounds like that's not an option though.

Yes there is no option in the import file to delete. Although there is an option on the import screen to delete all of whatever type you are importing... but this will delete all not just the products in the import file

Update for anyone else

Because each product option has a different class you can't bulk delete, so it's going to have to be one by one for 2500 products.

Has to be another way, that's just plain unmanageable.

Any suggestions, even at PhpMyAdmin level?

Please check if your X-Cart version has this page:
http://demo.x-cart.com/demo/admin/tools.php#cleardb

It allows you to tick just the "Product Options" checkbox in the "Remove data" section and drop all data associated with product options.
