Default DSEFU and ionCUBE? Urgent help needed!

Hi all,

My website is down, I get this:

"The file /home/audilo1/public_html/rewrite_mod.php has been encoded with the ionCube PHP Encoder and requires the free ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so ionCube PHP Loader to be installed."

I did some research and it would appear that ionCUBE is used by DESFU which I run as a mod. It also appears that my host does not support ionCUBE.
What puzzles me really is that it all ran very smoothly for months and this morning just...died!!

Should I remove DESFU maybe as a quick fix solution? If yes, how do I do that? Safetyweb installed it for me, so I have no clue on where to do it...

Any advice is highly appreciated!

Thanks

Now it all works!

Very weird (and scary in a way!)

Anyone would know why this sort of incident would happen??

OK, Sorted!

Within minutes of asking my webhost, I got this reply:

"Vincent,

I must confess this *was* an error on our side. However this wasn't clear when I first looked at your site this morning. The reason this wasn't clear is the error you were seeing on your site is a common one due to people not having these ioncube loaders (which are comptiable). Looking deeper however I see a new security measure we implemented yesterday was making it impossible for the ioncube loaders to actually load. I have now disabled it while we investigate this matter.

Apologies for any inconvenience,

Andrew"

They sometimes make these mistakes but they are so QUICK at sorting things out, simply the greatest host I have ever seen!
