Ohhh I hope so and I hope it conforms to the apparel requirements of mandatory size and color attributes for all variations!

To me, it's worth upgrading just for that alone.

Will there be a database converter so if we want to do a fresh install and just use the converted database, it will be possible?

UPDATE: I should have had another cup of coffee... doh! 4.4.2 > 4.4.4 = no database change. Pardon my blondness.

Thanks.

Ana

Don't forget the mandatory Google Taxonomy (google_product_category) that will be required starting Sept 22nd.

Yes, and until I get my feed going in accordance with the Apparel & Clothing category regulations, which I hope this update truly handles, I'll be off the map.

Haven't been able to get any mod to pull the color and size variants yet, which are actually contained in the class tables.

I'm sure you'll be able to find someone capable of doing that. We don't use X-Cart to generate our Google Products feed so I can't really offer any advice (our internal database does it via SQL to XML direct conversion).

I really appreciate the bug fixes in the new versions, but I have always wondered why you wait a week or so after the new version release for the upgrade packet? You would think that an upgrade packet should come first as a thank you to the huge number of folks reporting the bugs and the fact that many of the carts are live using the old version.

Simple business, offering the new version to new customers brings in revenue.

Existing customers just exist.

Please see the FAQs section in the manual:
http://help.qtmsoft.com/index.php?title=X-Cart:Google_Base#FAQs

Here are the questions covered by the section:

* What attributes are included in Google/Froogle product feed by default?
* How do I include Unique Product Identifiers in Google/Froogle product feed?
* How do I include additional attributes in Google/Froogle product feed?
* I have products which vary based on colors, materials, patterns, or sizes. How do I include my product variants data in Google/Froogle product feed?

[UPDATED]

Upgrade packs require more testing in order NOT to break live carts being upgraded.

Thanks, Seyfin. But what I'm reading there appears that I have to manually go in and assign an extra field for the base product for size and color which won't work when the product variations are variants. I need it to use the variant combinations of the base product to create each variation combination of color and size. I added the Extra Fields to cover the gender and age_group requirements.

Is this what was accomplished in 4.4.4?

Thanks.
