New module for X-Cart 5 - Hidden Products. This module adds 'Hidden but available for sale' functionality for products. This is very popular feature in X-Cart 4 but missing in X-Cart 5.

This module allows you to mark any product as hidden. Hidden products will not show on store front but are still accessible via their direct url. Perfect for special orders or products available to certain customers only.

How can this get 0 replies? Very cool and quite relevant module. Though I worry about this becoming redundant in future versions. But it's still cool as of right now.

Hi Steve,

During the install I got the following, error any ideas?

"An error occurred in your store.

ERROR: "Includes\ErrorHandler::FATAL_ERROR" (code 2)

Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 58130909 bytes)"

I did a soft reset and the store was restored Ok when I looked the module had installed and you can enable it the the products pages.

As it was a memory related error I checked with my hosting company and got the following reply:

"The server is not on the low side for memory requirements.

The site is running on a shared server with over 14 GB ( 14200 M ) of memory available for all users, well exceeding the minimum requirements.

The minimum x-cart php requirement of 32M is also been exceeded with 64 M of memory being made available from the php configuration file (php.ini). memory_limit = 64M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (128MB)"

This will be your hosting and/or XC5 itself. The module does not do anything during installation so the whole process is handled by XC itself.

32M php memory requirement for XC is unrealistic. XC5 is even more hungry for resources than XC4. It is also possible you hit some momentum glitch in your system.

On a "shared server with over 14 GB" how much you get pretty much depend on how many sites are hosted and running there at the same time.

But if everything is running ok and you don't have issues turning on and setting up the module I wouldn't worry much about it.

I feel reassured now. Should I ask for more memory allocation to be on the safe side or is this not realistic on a shared server?

32M is way too low for X-Cart 5.
