Question Processing in two currencies

Hello everyone!

We've been forced by Visa and MC to split processing in Visa and MC in USD and DINO and AmEx in CDN. While it is not a problem to set up PCI gateway in USD, we facing the issue of how to multiply the product price (in USD) by the USD/CDN currency conversion factor.

RubyMods seem to have a related mod that may work out, but there is uncertainty. They also haven't responded over a month.

Could someone suggest a solution? As a Canadian merchant, we can't process everything in USD...

Michael, you will need to customize X-Payments connector module inside your X-Cart as X-Cart calculates all payments in one currency only.

As see you are using a downloadable X-Payments license that allows up to 10 payment integrations so you can configure two payment integrations for your X-Cart store - one for US and another for CAD and use them for US and Canadian payments.

Thank you, we know this and have completed the steps suggested. The question is how to have payments in CDN multiplied by the conversion factor.

If you want to display pricing on your storefront pages you should consider using http://www.x-cart.com/extensions/modules/multicurrency.html

Michael,
Whilst our Rubymods Live Currency Module allows the customer to choose to make payments (and view prices) in an alternate currency to your store's base currency, it does not out of the box allow you to specify a different currency per payment processor.
This would be possible to do with some modifications however.
I gather from your post that you want to present CAD prices to all customers, but for Visa and MC, charge in USD (with a message to the user that they will be charged in USD and the amount they will be charged for) ?
