Unfortunatley NOT using variants is a big problem for me personally, as we need to control stock using the variants i.e we have 3 items in colour red size 32 etc. etc.

Out of interest how many quantity of products have you set in the main details (not variants), I notcied that if I have a low number originally for example 50 and then divide that quantity in the variants its not too bad, but if I have 1000 items (which is unlikely for me) thats where it slows down.

You can still use nil modifactors instead, even for colors. But it would be nice if the variants were fixed. I have many products and many variants, the math just about crashes the cart. I sell jewellery, some have the option of different stones (ie. birthstones) some have three different stone mounts. So if I offer a variety of 12 different kinds of stones X3, that's a lot of combinations of variants. When I changed it to a modificator the cart was about 30 times faster. Somehow, the engine responds better to a modificator than to a variant. Does anybody else notice the half baked button besides "Add/Update" while modifying products?

Just checked it. Don't know what you mean by "half baked", but the button is not like the other buttons on the same page.
Will probabely sound stupid, but it's the only way I know how to describe it: a type of hoover-effect around the button, buth then without being hoovered.

I'm trying to set up my UPS in 4.0.5 and in step 3 I entered everything and clik Next and all I get is the page back the same way only with this at the top
UPS Access License Response: () .
I have an account and a code in my 3.5 shop so I loged into
UPS to make sure that all the items were the same and they are.
Any Help.

Anyone using a flat discount for a log in group. Say like schools or Wholesale.
I cant find away to do it except on every item as a mod then you have to use a price difference.
