Is CSS Template from Cart-Lab or BCSE worth it?
Has anyone had any success with the CSS template for 4.1.x offered by Cart-Lab or BCSE? I'm assuming that they're the same product offered from two sources.
I'm looking to knock away as many tables as possible as X-cart relies so heavily on them, but am wondering if I were to use this product if it would cause problems with updates/mods in the future. It's nice that it comes with tabbed navigation on product details page. Also, was it pretty to implement? Re: Is CSS Template from Cart-Lab or BCSE worth it?
Moving to Third Party Add-Ons. I'd also suggest this one which looks pretty good:
http://www.xcartmods.co.uk/category/x-cart-templates/ CSS is great, but you have to remember that there are two major drawbacks to using it with X-Cart: 1. You will have to manually upgrade and patch files when updates come out 2. You will have to do a lot of work to integrate a lot of the third party mods Having said that we use a mostly CSS skin for most of our cart installations, and find it to be a much cleaner, easier to use system and loads much faster due to about 1/4 the code.
