We upgraded to x-payments 3.1.2 on May 23 and deployed a new configuration bundle in x-cart 4.7.9.

Since that time, x-payments is not permitting any recharges. Nothing changed in x-cart; we still have the "allow recharges" box checked, as we did before.

However, for every order after 3.1.2, we get no "recharge this card" option within x-payments. For any order before 3.1.2, the option is there.

We are using Payflow Pro.

Is this a bug in x-payments or is there something else we have to do to be able to recharge cards?

Now customer should click on the "Save this card for future use" checkbox when entering card details to make this feature appear.

I need to be able to recharge credit cards for customers even if they are not logged in. We take deposits from customers and then need to recharge the full amount.

We have been doing this for many years and 3.1.2 seems to have changed this.

Was this intentional or is it a bug?

I do not see the "save this card for future use" option for customers who are not registered and most of our customers choose not to register.

If it is possibly to default to "save this card for future use" for customers who are not registered, how do I do that?

This was intentional because some customers (and even merchants) were not happy that it was done without their consent.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to show "save this card for future use" for anonymous customers without a custom modification.

I've run into a few problems, and I would have been slower to upgrade if I new of these changes in advance. I'm finding out the hard way, and a little nervous of what I'll find next.

Please view the attached "Release notes" document for a list of changes.
That particular change was listed as

- Even if customer didn't checked the 'Save card' checkbox, extra requests were sent to some gateways to store it. Fixed.
