Percent for Wholesale Prices

Percent for Wholesale Prices mod for X-Cart allows you to specify wholesale pricing using percent or fixed amount. It will also update wholesale prices if you change product or variant main price (by default X-Cart does not modify wholesale prices if you change product or variant main price).

Supported X-Cart versions - 4.1.x, 4.2.x, 4.3.x and 4.4.x

Many thanks for your great Mod.

I have used the forum as I need to attach a couple of images which I hope will help diagnose a couple of issue I am having. Could well be my fault !!!

Just to recap I purchased this mod yesterday for a new site we are working on.

I am using x-cart version 4.4.4

1/ Please see image 001.jpg attached below

I add a new product > Add Option > Add Variant with Price % Off

All goes well, however if I want to Modify wholesale prices for selected variants I can only modify the price and not the % off as there is no box for this information. We would sometimes want to edit the % off as our business model changes.

2/ Please see image 002.jpg attached below

If I now add a new Option and then go to Product Variants it has lost the entire % off data!!!
Again this would mean that we could only alter the price and now have no reference to the % off used

3/ Could I perhaps suggest a slight mod to your installation instructions please?

Just an observation that I think may help other users: -

In 4.4.3-and-up.txt

In step 8 it states: -

8. open include/func/func.core.php and find

As there are a couple of ?> in the file it may be more helpful to state: -

8. open include/func/func.core.php

Go to the very bottom of the file and find

?>

before add
┘┘┘.

Hi Nick

#1 - that means you have not installed the mod correctly or you need to run cleanup.php; also if you are using any 3rd party skin you may need to do some of the installation steps on that skin's files and not on the default XC skin files

#2 - each pricing is per variant so if you add new variant you need to set pricing level for it as well, this is default XC behaviour

Many thanks for getting back to me regarding the problems I am having.

I have now tried the mod on XC versions: -

4.4.3
4.4.4
4.4.5

and I am still having the same problem.

All works fine EXCEPT when I add a new Product Option.

Here are my steps: -

1a/ add a new product
1b/ add a new product option (One DVD) to Option List
1c Click Update option group
1d/ go to Product variants
1e/ add the main price (1.69)
1f/ Click Apply changes
1g/ Check - Number of DVD's that make up this product: One DVD
1h/ Click Modify wholesale prices for selected variants
1i/ add wholesale prices (qty 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 etc.) using a Percentage amount (1.45, 6.21, 21.12, 33.75, 44.10, 52.38, 58.39 etc.)
1j/ Click Update wholesale prices

All goes well and I can even modify the percentage – great!

I checked the database table and all is showing as it should (see L1002.jpg attached)


2a/ I now add a new Product Option (Two DVD’s) to Option List
2b/ I now check back at the variants wholesale pricing and the Percentage Off has now disappeared (see L1003.jpg attached)
2c/ The Modify wholesale prices is also now just showing the price not the Percentage off

I check the database table and all the Percentage Off has been set to 0.00 (see L1004.jpg attached)

It is my belief that the issue is caused by adding a new Product Option, which then resets the percent column in the database to 0.00.

So my questions are please: -

1/ Is it me that has misinterpreted the install instructions?

2/ If “Yes” to the above which part of the install am I messing up please?

3/ Does the mod need another function / step adding to accommodate the adding of further Product Options?

I know that this is a new mod and just wondered if it was perhaps a bug?

Would be very grateful for your help in this matter as I have tight deadline.
