When you scroll to the bottom of a page to view products and click on the next page you are taken to the bottom of that next page. Normally you would be taken to the top of the next page. Is this a glitch or a settings problem?

Please report the problem to bt.x-cart.com, it seems as a bug to me.

Also, when you go back to a previously viewed category with multiple pages it remembers the last page you visited and takes you there instead of starting on the first page. I have never had this happen on any other site. I have also noticed these things in the admin panel.

It is not a bug. It is the way it is designed to work. See http://demostore.x-cart.com/toys

When you click to page 2 of the product results it doesn't go back to the top, because the page does not reload (this is a feature not a bug!). The next page of products is loaded via Ajax.

To change this behavior, we merely need to add some anchor tags in the correct place on the page: <a name="pageId=1"></a>, <a name="pageId=2"></a>, etc.

How is this a feature? Load the page. Scroll down to second navigation and click on page 2 - products load and page jumps to "Sales" section - this is 2 sections below the navigation. It happens because there are not enough products to fill in the space. You can't call this feature or improvement. Not by any standards. Improper behavior.
Or did you mean it as a joke?

@TheSarcasmShop, this is a bug as well. Please report it to bt.x-cart.com as well.

@totaltec Steve is right. X-Cart should bring you to the beginning of the next page, not leave you on the bottom of the page. That is why I call this bug.

Okay, well I agree that I don't like this functionality, but I do not think it can be classified as a bug, the code performs as expected.

I 100% agree that it should be changed.
