Default Re: Refunds & Charges

We have X-Cart 4.7 Platinum and I had a question pertaining to X-Payments.

Are we able to refund (partially or in full) or recharge a customer's card within the x-cart invoice using X-Payments?

I'm hoping to do something similar to how Paypal Express handles refunds within the X-Cart Invoice? Something like this: http://screencast.com/t/ESvqDTW2z

Currently, we have to login to Authorize.net to do refunds or additional charges and we'd like avoid that extra step.

Hi Johnatan,

Both the ability to perform full/partial refunds and recharge the credit cards would depend on the payment method you choose.

Here is the list of what each payment method integrated with X-Payments can do.

Refund column speaks for itself. As for recharging, the payment method has to have the check-mark in the Tokenization column.

And, of course, you don't have to log into X-Payments backend to handle all this - X-Cart does everything via API.

We use authorize.net for our payment Gateway. Would it be possible to see a screenshot of what it looks like in the back end within an xcart invoice? Specifically the areas where you can refund and recharge?

I would suggest a slightly different approach. You can setup a 14-day X-Payments trial and connect the store with you Auth.Net account following these instructions.

This way you can see for yourself how everything works, making sure that it all meets your requirements. Then you can just subscribe to the preferred plan and we convert your trial into production account.

Besides we do have a blog post on recurring payments.

We would like to avoid having to spend the time setting up a trial until we get visual confirmation that this is possible.

If you don't have screenshots, do you have a demo site setup where we can see this refund/charge capability within the x-cart invoice?

Ok, here is the screenshot of the Refund section from X-Cart's backend.

As for the recarging routine, please, refer to this video tutorial.
