Sorry, I cannot give you any timeframe on the final release. We are going to test 4.1.0 completely before releasing. All I can say is: beta 1 is expected in October/November.

thats a good thing that you have taken this route now. it makes for a more stable life for everyone now that v4.0.x has leveled out

I do hope though that you release this beta version to a few people to have a look at / test / pick apart / and give suggestions before the official release.

Please please make the product extra fields accessable throughout the cart as they were in 3.5.X. I know this was a side effect as stated by ruslan, but it was an extremely useful side effect, 4.X took this out and it kills alot of display functionality that access to the extra fields could offer in the product listings and cart.

improve the checkout process. I know somone sells an add-on but someone should not have to get an add-on for a effiecient checkout process.

Hello. I originally started my store with version 4.0.13. Then I upgraded to version 4.0.14 and only had to apply two manual file patches. Should I be safe to upgrade to 4.0.15 now?

Please put an API (or something similar) in place for third party developers to allow easy updates of their skins, if possible, using the built in Xcart system.
