Okay, so I'm one of those dinoasaurs that still uses XCart 4.1.7. I got the notice about the PA-DSS Compliance madness and I am absolutely and completely confused about this. I am not a developer nor a programer, just some bloke trying to run his own business. I currently use PayPal Pro as my credit card provider.

So my question is....what am I to do? What can I do? Is the short term fix supposed to be this X-Payments thing? And if so, will it even work with my old 4.1.7 version of XCart??!! And if it doesn't...what the heck am I supposed to do then?

X-Payments is unfortunately currently your only option for that payment gateway. It is not a short term fix, this is Qualiteam's solution to PA-DSS - they have no plans to make their core cart compliant. Other options involve sending your customers off-site to pay, or using a DPM solution like with authorize.net.

I had Qualiteam install X-Payment into my X-cart store (4.1.9) to work with PayPal Pro (Canada) - and thats just two weeks ago. Everything is running smoothly now.

Open a ticket with Qualiteam and ask them for a quote to install X-Payment.
