I know 30 have never been tampered with. I have upgraded from a new install of 4.03, did a 4.04 upgrade and tried this 4.05.

Any news from XCart as to why so many file errors?

By the way, never having "manually patched" a file before, could you give me a quick low down? I searched the forum but could't find a how to anywhere.

Yes its a very messy one this ...

Best thing to do is if there are files that you know have not been altered by yourself then just use an up to date version from the full V4.0.5 install over them.

You can do this using ftp while you look at the screen that tells you which ones are causing problems. Once you have done that click back on the bottom of the upgrade page and you should see them showing as already patched next time round.

Methinks that x-carts method of releases is starting to really pi** people off, they need to be very carefull otherwise they are going to start loseing customers to more tested soloutions.

From what I have seen most of the people that have posted in this thread are well established users of x-cart and are their core customers, x-cart success is due to their customers recommending it to others and if x-cart continue to follow their current method of release then who the hell is going to recommend it as a decent soloution.

I've copyed all the files from the distribution ans applied patch.sql in PMA.

Now i'm on 4.0.5 BUT now if i click on any category, i get a blank page...

I had no problems applying the upgrade, couldnt upgrade four .tpl files because they are heavily modified. But I have had the subscriptions problem.

uncheck:Subscriptions This module enables the subscription feature for products.
