Price variations displaying in product options drop down box
I'm doing a freebie for our local triathlon club and I have a question I haven't come across before.
http://www.mingaratriathlonclub.com.au/shop/product.php?productid=1&cat=1&page=1 I have rather an extensive list of product variations on this product, and there's -$5.00 and +$5.00 on some of them. Some people find this really confusing. I'd like to be able to do one of two things. 1. have the actual price display in the drop down box and not the variation on the original price 2. just remove the -$5.00 etc (just don't know which template it belongs in). Are these simple things to do? (v 4.1.11)

Re: Price variations displaying in product options drop down box
In admin - modify product - product variants... Is the "+/-" showing in the description of product options? Does the description under "Variants" say "C Grade Junior (Tri Member)" or "C Grade Junior (Tri Member) (-$5.00)"? How is "Price" listed in the product variants?
I think the "+/-" may be showing because you may need to define the "list price" and make it "+" only.

Re: Price variations displaying in product options drop down box
It's displaying exactly as x-cart intends it to. The price variations aren't in the descriptions, they're there because I have listed the product options as price variations.
I just need to know which template to modify so I can remove the price variations.

Re: Price variations displaying in product options drop down box
What happens if you make the lowest price the default and add 5 or 10 dollars depending on the option rather than using a plus or minus 5? Maybe create a clone of the product to test, make it "available but hidden".

Re: Price variations displaying in product options drop down box
I don't want to do that. The most common price is $10. All I want to do is remove the price variations.
I will put in a support ticket with x-cart. Thanks.

Re: Price variations displaying in product options drop down box
Sorry if I am misunderstanding what you have already considered -
It looks like you are using product option with a price modifier instead of a product variant. If you use a product variants - you don't use the +/- offsets - you fill in a price for each product variant, and the pull down will not have the offsets. If you use option price variants instead of option price modifier, you can update the option value to include the price to display them in the pull down.
