My problem was my wife's SSL on her site which means I had no choice to purchase the monthly package, but also YSlow does recognise that its a sort of CDN so regarding yslow score your no better off........I wanted to go with MaxCDN but there seems to be problems with the speedup Java and CSS also https images so i am just stuck really, although my site is fairly nippy....

Any more news on Cloudflare? Was thinking of using them for the firewall effect with regards to "bad" robots & spammers

I'm testing with them now .. so far so good.. Our site has a lot of custom skins work and a lot of active content on some pages, its quite helpful there. For the basic stuff .. meh.

The DDOS and attack mitigation will get tested this weekend.

I use MaxCDN and once signed up it hasn't cost me a penny. All images nicely pulling from their servers.

fwiw, cloudflare did fine in all our speed tests from various countries .. It did not prevent or even notice any SQL injection attacks or obscure any exposed SQL inside php or other "inside" information which was clearly visible on the other side.

It did offer up capcha challenges to several other the bot"ish" vector attacks which x-cart would not have dealt with.

All in all we are calling it a soft-win for cloudflare

I have gone with Cloudflare, I paid the $20 because I wanted a bit more from it at the moment but, I have the fcommerce (basic) with a (long list) it has worked perfectly in that you can select timeline and that displays or select Shop (or click cart) and the featured product list and everything else works. Since enabling Cloudflare I've found fcommerce has errors, the message to see developer but I know it's Cloudflare that causes it by disabling CF it works again. Anybody any clues?

Cheers

Oh yeah,

Just remembered, the $20 was to allow ssl to work between CF and my site (it was $200 to use theirs!) incase anyone can see the site is http://myhomeliving.co.uk

Hello Mike,

I am using the Pro version, can you tell me if it's effective speed wise?

I do get occasional product image problems, though only after I click the thumbnail or title.

As for spammers etc, they have stopped a lot, everyone I've checked has a Honeypot ref or Stopspam forum entry so happy there.

I had to do some tweaking as I started off with a few MySQL errors but these have gone now (I hope)

fcommerce has stopped working though, could do to get that back.

Would love some feedback though. I will be moving to a later version soon poss 4.5.5/6 if they are finally usable

I have been trying to use Cloudflare, but it keeps shutting down my orders. It will not process Authorize.net payments. Customers get an error message to try a different payment method. Cloudflare said to use Page Rules to not cache the store. I did that and still sales stopped for 2 days with customer phone calls and complaints until I got it turned off completely. I read a post that Rocket Loader can interfere with some e-commerce stores, but losing sales has really scared me of even trying anything else.

I also read an article that worried me:

http://crimeflare.net:82/cfssl.html

They have a whole lot of scary information about Cloudflare.
