Help with adding a txt in languages..it won't let me add!!!!

Hello, I recently inserted some html into a txt_web_quote for my page, and the first time I added it it worked, but i guess I had it set to wide, so it screwed my xcart up, so i had to delete that, and when I tried to add one without specifying a table size, it just wouldn't load, it took me back to the add new txt page, i tried to add it again, and it won't load! I don't understand this! It did it before also! Please help me if you know why it does this! And it only does it when I add html with forms!

Are you trying to insert this entire html code into a txt_language variable, stored in the SQL database?

Why not create a template with the html code?

or even easier, create a "filename.htm" file with a link on your xcart web page to this file.

Hello, thanks for replying. I am trying to add this into it's own txt_web_quote file. I want to have it be a part of x-cart, I don't want a new webpage to pop up if I can help it. Thank you. Also, I can restore it back to normal and be able to edit it again if i restore my database. Thanks! Please help me get this right!

Is the code in a template file?, or are you trying to put this code into the a $lng.txt_your_file_name variable?

Hello, I created a link to the page....goto www.digitaladdition.com to see my page and click on FREE QUOTE and then WEB DESIGN. I am adding the page in there where i have Enter Web Design Info Here!!! or something like that. I created a txt_Web_Quote in the languages and i tried to add the html code in there.

What he was asking is if you were using Edit Templates to put the information in or were you doing it through languages with a variable. But anyways i think i know the answer to your question...Well here just copy and pase this into your template..

I went ahead and tested it in my cart it worked fine for me, i think your only problem was that you didn't have {literal} and {/literal} around it, i also took out the <html><body> etc. But anyways hope that works out for you.

Hello, that didn't work, plus the "literal" showed up on my webpage. It will work when i do it my way, but it will screwed up my x-cart admin page for the txt, it stretches the screen. I deleted and it wouldn't let me add it again, so I had to restore my xcart from my file. I will ask the xcart team. Thanks!

Ok now you have me confused to, are you pasting all of this HTML you have into a variable. When i say variable, are you going into Languages under Administration in the Admin section? If you are, you should paste what I told you into a template. And as far as stretching, it is because it is to wide for your screen, you must be running low resolution. On my screen the html shows up pretty skinny with the settings you have it at. So if you make it a little thinner it should show up fine on your screen and go unstretched.

I am adding this in a txt_web_quote variable. It is not it's own template. Maybe I should make it's own template for it. It works fine on my customer screen, when on my admin screen it screws up the txt-web-quote variable and stretches that and therefore, stretches my whole screen. Thanks!
