Default X-Cart as a Product Catalog

Hello Everybody,

I have to create a catalog of products. Around 2000 products. This website is for presentation not for ordering. So, I have to disable all shopping cart features (add to cart, shopping cart module, registration module).

Who did this, just give me a clue.

Thanks.

Just set all stock to zero and uncheck the "disable products which are out of stock" option. Don't set any shipping methods or payment methods. Done.

What if I rename/delete those templates responsible with registration, cart, add to cart? And some php files?

You don't need to rewrite anything, the customer will never get to the cart when the products can't be added to it. For registration, just remove the link to it.

Just turn off all the payment methods and it is disabled.

Question Re: X-Cart as a Product Catalog

I have a similar task except, there is a auth logic between displaying the catalog and the product pricing for dealers once they are logged into the system. Has anyone have a similar situation?

Thanks
Lisa

renaming the file names for a few templates is the best way to transform XC in a catalog of products. to do/undo renaming you can create a batch file to make the job for you.
