Hi, I'm new here, and I've just downloaded/uploaded the latest free version, because I thought this product allowed you to
Adding X-Cart's 'Add to cart' and 'Checkout' buttons to your existing (external) product catalog

Upon further investigation, it might be for a version 4???
This is what I needed this program for, adding 'Add to cart' and 'checkout' buttons on my already existing website.
Is this possible with this latest version? I've spent so much time already researching this, downloading, reading infos on setting everything up in my host etc.
Please someone give me some good news here, as I cannot seem to find ANY info about it now that I am in the admin, nor can I find any links, nor did the info at the link above, allow me to follow along in my admin.

Yes, this article is for X-Cart 4.

For placing "Add to cart" buttons on an external site for X-Cart 5 please refer to this article: http://kb.x-cart.com/display/XDD/Adding+products+to+cart+via+URL

As for the checkout button - it is nothing more than just a link to the http://<your-domain>/<x-cart-5-directory>/cart.php?target=checkout page.

I have tried this solution and it works well and you are directed to the home page.

Is it possible to do this and then have an autoredirect to the actual product information.

This behavior will require creating a custom module. You should decorate the Cart controller class and add a new action method that mimics the "add" method and performs the redirect in the end.
